Abstract

Software evolution techniques should be more superior to software development techniques. One possible way to help with the situation is to learn from software development, along with to learn from software evolution techniques. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and more specifically, the breakout of machine learning and deep learning (ML&DL) becoming the big buzz words in technology, and should be studied for being made available for servicing software evolution. While both AI and ML&DL have gained a lot of attention lately, though these techniques have been around for quite some time, it can be seen that there has can be a monumental shift in technology and how it is being applied to many areas, with software evolution with no exception. This paper reviews from robots to search engines; from deep learning to machine learning, to start with, and is then raving about as the technology fuelling a new innovation for software evolution to benefit from the surge of AI and ML&DL.
