Abstract

Bulletins from the Edge is a collection of short films facilitated through The Great Margin, an innovative multi-modal framework for community writing. This research addressed gaps in knowledge about interpretive processes of writing from the fridges throughout the 2020 pandemic. The Principal Investigator, Bambo Soyinka, directed the films and devised the research framework. Diverse writers participated; despite their differences, all were familiar with experiences of writing from the margins, whether due to longstanding circumstances, or because of the pandemic. This Collection documents the single component creative practice output, Bulletins from the Edge, which is a curatorial and directorial research project resulting in 15 poetry films. Contextualising information is provided in the form of a 300 word statement, research timeline, and research context document.
