Abstract: | ‘Let Us Dance’ invites teenage girls to voluntarily create a central role in a performance. Street dancing teenagers, enter the gallery space every Saturday, dance to soundtracks from their mobile phones playing their choice of songs and then leave the space. This project was inspired by the teenage girls’ role in the 2008 demonstration in Seoul against the import of US beef by the Korean government and was developed in close relation to ‘Burning Love (2014)’. |
