Abstract
This is the first research supplement published by the Teacher Education in Lifelong Learning (TELL) research network. There are several reasons for producing this supplement, including • To encourage potential researchers to get involved • To encourage active researchers to keep going and to get published • To showcase research which is taking place or has been carried out in the Further Education and Skills sector by members of TELL • To curate the evidence into a form which is accessible and organised. The supplement includes articles, reflections and features designed to encourage all to keep researching and get publishing, and an events calendar for which we welcome updates as it will also appear on the ‘teachereducatorUK’ website. When drawing together this first supplement, we located around 100 publications, involving around 50 TELL members, but we know this is only a relatively small proportion of what is going on in terms of research and publications. Feedback from network meetings and our work in the field demonstrates that research is being undertaken in all parts of the sector, and is carried out by many practitioners, despite the pressures on them
