Re: Follow-ed (after hokusai) [curators].
Cabinet du Livre d'Artiste, Rennes, France, 28 September 2015 - 3 December 2015.
'Re: Follow-ed (after Hokusai)' is an exhibition of artists' books inspired by the American artist Ed Ruscha, curated by Tom Sowden and Michalis Pichler. This exhibition shows artists’ books from both Sowden and Pichler's collections that reference, mimic, are made in homage to, or just completely rip-off the iconic books made by Ed Ruscha. Most of the books are direct references to the style or subject-matter of Ruscha’s originals. The one overriding factor is that they all contain an element of humour reminiscent of Ruscha.
