Item Type: Book
Note:

This book contains a rigorous theoretical review of research into the fields of dyslexia and cognitive or learning style theory as a conceptual framework for a range of practical strategies. It is innovative in its linking of dyslexia and cognitive style theory and in its application of the author's classroom experience and findings from international research to the successful use of style strategies within the classroom for dyslexic learners. It is significant in having been used as the basis of information on dyslexia on Government websites; the author was invited to deliver keynote speeches at conferences in South Africa and the UK. The book is on the core reading lists of ITE and specialist postgraduate training courses at a number of HEIs and was the publisher's best seller on SEN for the year 2003-4. It was reviewed by the publisher and external referees.
