| Note: | The exhibition highlights how deceptively difficult it can be to make a jug; makers must consider balance and weight. Will it pour? Is the handle strong enough to withstand the weight of the liquid? Is the handle pulled, extruded or cast? Jugs can also be vessels to hold other things and feature in many 2D artists’ compositions. Pour Me explores how the jug can be interpreted in many ways, and in many different materials; tableware, vessels, sculpture made from textiles, metals, silver, enamel, glass, wood and ceramics. |
