Abstract: | VIS 2019 included six films and an homage to Agnès Varda, casting a rhythmic, humorous, courageous glance at the world, traveling here and there into the past to better understand the present and make a brighter future. John Wood and Paul Harrison make do with a slide projector to take the audience along for a witty and pointed journey of the mind in 81 frames. This is a projector — and we here in the movie theater are both in the present and in the future. Right? A tantalizing, playful experiment with a retro look, directly addressed to each and every one of us. |
