Chadderton, C (2020) A longitudinal study of young women’s transitions in Tower Hamlets in an age of austerity. Aldgate and Allhallows Foundation, London. ISBN 9781998991419
Abstract
This five-year longitudinal study looks into the career aspirations and transitions for young women in Tower Hamlets, predominantly from Bangladeshi backgrounds. For this project, it was important to concentrate on one school in the borough. It was conducted over the period 2014–19, at a time when austerity measures disproportionally impacted those from low income families, women and minority ethnic groups.
