Abstract: 'On the Inside' is a creative practice research project resulting in a performance, which was created by Dr Helena Enright, Senior Lecturer in Drama, at Bath Spa University, in partnership with Geese Theatre Company, Birmingham and the University of Warwick. The research explores how a Theatre of Testimony performance methodology combined with an Applied Theatre methodology can respond creatively to the contemporary experiences of mothers in prison in the UK, and the archive, culminating in a theatre performance output entitled 'Playing the Game.' This Collection documents a single-component creative practice output with contextualising information. The output is the performance and script, and contextualising information includes a 300 word statement, research timeline and research questions documents, project participant and project structure information, related websites, and a conference presentation abstract.
