Abstract

In the history of each nation, there is some heritage not existing in a physical form, like the life culture or some festivals. The heritage like this is called intangible cultural heritage, which is very import for the variety of the world's culture. Also, intangible culture heritage can give specified group of people a shared background and values and this make them feel they belong to a culture. Therefore protecting and inheriting this type of heritage is very important and tourism is one way for protecting and inheriting intangible culture heritage. This project aims to develop a tourism designing assistance framework to help people use tourism as a method for intangible culture heritage revitalisation. Revitalisation means a method of how to protect and promote the value of intangible culture heritage. This framework has two main functions. One is for helping people to design development strategies for intangible culture heritage revitalisation. A development strategy decides how much each stakeholder affords cost and how much benefit they get. Stakeholders are several kinds of people who are related to intangible culture heritage. There are 24 development strategies in this project and this function can calculate how much benefit each strategy generates. The other one is for optimising the tourism strategies. A tourism strategy concerns how to develop and operate a specific tourism product of intangible culture heritage, such as using ads to let more people pay attention to the product. This function can conclude opinions from the comments about tourism strategies for certain intangible culture heritage. And people can optimise their strategies based on these opinions. In the function of helping people design development strategies, a game theory model is established. This model can calculate the benefit of each development strategy. And according these benefits, people can choose the strategies that fit for the intangible culture heritage. And in the function of optimising tourism strategies, algorithms of data mining and technologies of semantic web are used. Semantic web is used to store the information of different type s of opinions and data mining algorithm is used to find out the relations among different types of opinions. Also, a prototype is established to show how this framework works and an experiment is made based on this prototype. The proposed tourism designing assistance framework can improve the efficiency of making strategies about intangible culture heritage revitalisation and help people find out the advantages and shortcomings of their strategies. And this is what this framework contributes to intangible culture heritage area.
