An IoT-based cloud-fog computing platform for creative service

Hsu, T-C (2020) An IoT-based cloud-fog computing platform for creative service. PhD thesis, Bath Spa University.

Abstract

A creative service is one with creative elements based on latest computing techniques. This study proposes a creative service approach to the Cloud computing platform and the Internet of Things setting, to improve the integration of the current Cloud-to-physical networking and the computing speed of the Internet of Things. Through experimental implementations, the proposed creative service is tested to allow a computer system to help improve the human operation mode through decentralised intelligence. The creative service can accelerate the analysis of data unravelling a large database of data models. The proposed creative service is constructed in three phases: firstly, hardware development and IoT modelling; Secondly, software design and implementation; and thirdly, creative data analysis. The three-stage method to accommodate creative service can assist an improvement of the effectiveness and model design of object-connected services. A creative service model was proposed to change the IoT remote control and communication and assignment tasks between devices. Using service workflow improvements, it is easier for managers to manage operations between devices. Four original contributions were made in this study. The first contribution is an IoT model based architecture to implement the hardware and communication platform. The second contribution is to use creative service models and use data processing methods to apply creative dispersion analysis to improve the timeliness of data processing and analysis. The third contribution is a quick data analysis service feeding back to user applications based on decentralised data operations. The fourth contribution is the development of a simulation creative platform, which can integrate multiple service applications, such as operation of remote digital content networking devices and creative digital operations in different fields.
