Abstract

This mental health focused event included a screening of ‘Arab Blues’ (2019), followed by a panel of Arab and North African womxn, chaired by Sad Girl Cinema. 'Arab Blues' is a feature film that follows the story of Selma, a psychiatrist who dreams of opening up her own psychotherapy practice in her home country of Tunis. Sad Girl Cinema is an ongoing film project exploring mental health narratives in screen culture.
