Burchill, A, Banks, M, Hawley-Lingham, E, Williams, C and De Sabbata, S (2019) It takes a region to raise an artist: understanding the East Midlands’ visual arts economy. CAMEo Research Institute, Leicester.
Abstract
The report investigates the visual arts economy in the East Midlands region. It provides for the first time a mapping of the region’s visual arts provision and data about the region’s visual arts workforce: its demographic, its employment, its challenges, its ambitions. It pinpoints areas for further research and covers what would make the biggest difference to the visual arts sector for artists and audiences.
