Note: | Opening Date: 2002-Apr-19 It was important to express the significance of paper in a world which is becoming increasingly paperless and this was achieved through the interplay of an idea of nature and an understanding of sensory perception. This, we believed, was a fundamental part of being human, and as a result, designed accessories which were to be worn on the body. The pieces were created to reflect a sense of time and landscape, often resembling ice, which is both beautiful and easily lost. We were also aware of the need to be inclusive, and considered notions of the global community in the designs, and focussed on nostalgia and humour, in order to transcend race, religion and nation. 200+ |
