As part of Africa 05.; Pan African celebration of African arts under the umbrella of the British Museum and SOAS I was asked to curate this exhibition as part of Africa 05 and to enable artists from Kenya to produce work for the exhibition. I ran an outreach workshop at RaMoMa, The Rahimtullah Museum of Modern Art Nairobi Kenya. The aim being to link British and Kenyan Printmakers. The resulting exhibition was held at the Bankside Gallery Autumn 2005. I have worked in Kenya from 990 with the aim of promoting printmaking within Kenya. The resulting prints sold to Victoria and Albert Museum and Artists in Hospital in London and the Ford Foundation collection in Kenya. The exhibition received funding from Visiting Arts. To coincide with the exhibition The Ford Foundation and Triangle Arts Trust sponsored two Kenyan Artists to visit UK as artists in Residency at Bath Spa University School of Art and Design Printmaking Dept and London Print Studio in 2006. 2008 sees the British prints on exhibition with Kenyan printmakers at the new RaMoMa Museum as the inaugural exhibition. I have been asked to put together an open access printmaking facility within the new Museum space with the two UK residency Kenyan artists Simon Muriithi and Peterson Kamwathi which is to be funded by the Ford Foundation in partnership with RaMoMa, Kuona Trust and Triangle Arts Trust UK.
