Moon: a public demonstration

Harrison, K (2013) Moon: a public demonstration. V&A Hochauser Auditorium, London, UK, 21 April 2013.

Item Type: Performance
Creators: Harrison, K
Abstract: Ceramics tutor Keith Harrison concluded a residency at the V&A (under the overarching title of ‘Secondary Modernism’) with this public demonstration referencing drums used by Keith Moon, the flamboyant drummer for rock band The Who. The original kit was detonated as part of a planned performance of the band’s hit ‘My Generation’ live on American TV in 1967. Keith created a clay drum kit especially to be destroyed in this live performance, with My Generation providing the backing track.
