Anthony Head is Illuminate Bath Creative Director.
The first Illuminate Bath arts festival took place from 1 – 13 November 2010. Twenty one events were attended by 41,800 people. The festival was free, inclusive and accessible to all.
The second Illuminate Bath arts festival took place on 25 – 28 January 2012. A series of projections was also shown on 1-5 June 2012 to celebrate the start of the Bath International Music Festival and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Illuminate Bath was part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, the largest cultural celebration in the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympic movements.
Illuminate Bath 2012 was organised by Bath Spa University and RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sports), a London 2012 legacy project based in universities across the south west of England, that aims to inspire young people to volunteer, try new sports and be creative.
The third Illuminate Bath festival took place from 3-10 January 2015
