| Abstract: | 'space with sounding floor' explores the acoustic properties of floors through limited movements by the performers. A series of zones in the space are isolated, with the performers shifting their weight and moving between these zones. The resultant sounds are matched with low energy instrumental sound. 'space with sounding floor' was commissioned by Oxford Contemporary Music for performance by [rout] at Audiograft in the Holywell Music Room on 13 March 2015. |
