Abstract
The chapter discusses the practice led methodologies probed within the research project ‘Die Mühle/The Mill’ undertaken in 2012 in collaboration with ‘Theater im Glasshaus’, a disability arts group in Braunschweig, Germany. It places the project within trans-disciplinary arts research contexts with reference to Borgdoff, Fischer-Lichte, and Morin.

Note: | Kampe was co-organiser of the project described in this book. The project set out to investigate inclusive performer-training and performance-making methods with performers with and without learning disabilities. This international project included artists and academics from the UK, Germany, and the US, including the Research Institute for Experimental Design of Coburg University, Germany. The practice-led applied research project involved a one-week long period of research laboratories, rehearsal periods, and 3 public performances at Kunstmühle Braunschweig. The project was funded with £30k by Lebenshilfe Braunschweig Disability Trust. |
