Crawley, J (2014) ''Learning Through Life': where now for lifelong learning? Recommendation 7: broaden and strengthen the capacity of the lifelong learning workforce.' Adults Learning, 26 (1). pp. 22-23.
Abstract
One of a special series of articles discussing the impact of recommendations included in the Inquiry into the Future for Lifelong Learning (IFLL), a 2009 report from the British education charity NIACE (National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) five years later. The article covers the report's suggestion that the capacity of the lifelong learning workforce in Great Britain be strengthened and expanded. It notes that funding reductions and the lack of a uniform professional identity has restricted the development of professionals in the lifelong learning sector.
