A solo exhibition of 18 drawings, curated by William Wright AM. Taylor's drawings explore the nature and relationship of the female subject from the perspective of both artist and model. Through the encounter and act of drawing, the nature of self-representation and identity is explored and the resultant portrayal becomes a description or disclosure of an inherent paradox as a mind reveals the form it inhabits. This interrogation of gesture and expression has led to a sequence of drawings that question not just the appearance, but the emotional or haptic sensation of being inside a skin or body that can only be seen or recognised by the self with the aid of a mirror.
