Abstract
Taylor was the invited Chair of the symposium The Insistence of Drawing convened by the Professor Ian Kirkwood on behalf of the drawing research group at The School of Arts, University of Northampton. The symposium aimed to explore the role and function of drawing and why it is so insistent. The six presenters were invited to discuss drawing from their own perspectives as artists and thinkers. As Chair, Taylor gave an illustrated presentation on the Insistence of Drawing to set the context for the symposium and guest speakers. The six speakers were: Keynote - Professor David Rayson (Royal College of Art); Pak Keung Wan; Gavin Delahunty (Tate Liverpool), Margarita Gluzberg (Royal College of Art), Craig Staff (University of Northampton) and Taylor as Chair.
