This paper concerns Stoker's penultimate book, 'Famous Impostors', and charts the work from its commissioning through editing to final printing, by way of unpublished correspondence between the author and his British and American publishers and through access to the original manuscript of the work.

This gathering of Stoker and Gothic scholars in Macao has been facilitated by a successful external funding bid, submitted last year by Professor Hughes and Dr Matthew Gibson of the University of Macao, which supports a three-year project to investigate and publish Stoker's hitherto neglected literary and theatrical correspondence.
