Abstract
A lengthy review essay of Peter W. M. Blayney's ground-breaking 'The Stationers’ Company and the Printers of London, 1501–1557' (2015) which includes a historiographical account of the Stationers' Company, a detailed review of Blayney's 2-volume work, and an analysis of its significance for the field as a whole.
