Abstract

Videogames are disappearing. No really, they are. At a time when there are more gaming platforms and titles available than ever before, this might seem like an unlikely claim. However, the implications are signifiant and wide-ranging. In this exciting lecture, Professor James Newman will consider what is currently being done, and questions some of the assumptions about what videogames are, and what the object of their preservation should be.
