| Abstract: | Many of us have a box of buttons, kept for utilitarian or nostalgic purposes, but the buttons on show at the museum are very different and demonstrate creativity from around the world. They form part of The Button Project, curated by Dr. Jo Dahn, which has only previously been on show at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Part of some 600 buttons collected, the show will include pieces which have been custom made by ceramicists from the UK and further afield and includes work by renowned makers such as Sandy Brown, Jane Hamlyn and the Pottery Workshop in Jingedzhen, China. |
