Settlement is an artist-led, participatory event featuring artists Ben Connors, Alan Goulbourne, James Green, Cinzia Mutigli and Jennie Savage, and a discussion led by Gill Nicol.
The artists led participants through the day, creatively responding to themes of colony and ownership. Walking, eating and talking together, conversation was around how artists and communities transform and occupy the city. Avoiding the confines of the traditional ‘conference’ format, the day aimed to place madeinroath festival within a critical context.
