Inventory of behaviours

Part of a group ex­hi­bi­tion ex­plor­ing the in­flu­ence of teach­ing on artists’ prac­tices. The artists in the exhibition teach at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki, in the art and culture studies unit of the University of Lapland, or have done teaching and research collaboration with each other. The working methods and material choices of the artists participating in the exhibition represent a wide spectrum that is used in art schools. Some have their work born out of direct interaction with students, while others may have a more indirect connection. In some of the works, the connection between the teaching and learning is not directly traceable, but it is perhaps shown in the choice of materials, form or thematic choices. Collectively, we can reflect on how these works show us the interaction between generations in the context of teaching.
