| Abstract: | Mariele Neudecker created a fantastic scene of light emanating through the trees in the dark. Thediorama modeled from the actual timbers invites viewers into a deeper forest. The sense of verisimilitude is such that the visitors feel actually lost in the woods, awed just as they might be when faced with a natural spectacle. The title, This Thing Called Darkness, is a phrase taken from Shakespeare. |
