Abstract
This is a collection of two playtexts that appropriate Shakespeare's work to tell new stories and provide new meanings to his classics. Drag King Richard III is the story of a Female to Male transsexual, Laurie/Laurence, and his best friend. The play weaves playwright Terri Power's autobiographical writing with that of Shakespeare's Richard III. Possesion:Macbeth is based on the trial of the last three women convicted of practicing witchcraft in England.
