Abstract
Shextreme Film Festival is the world's first film festival for women in extreme sports and adventure created and led by Dr. Ruth Farrar. The festival forms an integral part of her public engagement research on female media makers in extreme sports and adventure. After last year's sold out success, the 2016 festival has expanded to another sold out two day programme of international award-winning panel speakers, exclusive UK film premieres and a pioneering adventure film school. Press coverage for the festival includes BBC Radio; Cooler Magazine and Redbull.
