| Abstract: | This piece was commissioned by Dennis Crites and the Heritage Middle School Orchestra (Lima, OH, US). The school was studying myths, so Boehm based the piece upon the myth of Circe's Palace. The piece takes on the journey of the sailors merrily heading to the Palace, subsequently being turned into sheep and then rescued, and then the long slog back to their ship. |
