Environmental creative writing

Gifford, T (2002) 'Environmental creative writing.' English in Education, 36 (3). pp. 37-46. ISSN 1754-8845

Abstract

As an example of ecocritical pedagogy, a weekend residential programme is outlined that uses creative writing to raise environmental awareness through a polemical engagement with a specific local environmental issue. Poetry, narrative and discursive writing, interviews and group presentations are all used in what becomes an introduction to environmental politics.
