Ludic Territories - “We live in an age of hyper-awareness, our senses extend around the globe, but it’s the case of aesthetic overload: our technical zeal has outstripped our psychic capacity to cope with the influx of information.”

This quote from Gene Youngblood in „Expanded Cinema“ (1970) has gained significance in the subsequent decades. He pointed out that while we have access to a wealth of information and sensory experiences, we are only limitedly able to process and give them meaning.
Awash in a sea of information, our contemporary world presents a curious paradox. While hyperconnected, we often feel emotionally distanced. Can we transcend this digital deluge and forge deeper connections? The topic “Transcendence” seeks to blur the lines between an overload of information and our genuine connection. To explore this question, we invite you to submit your works to this transdisciplinary exhibition featuring exclusively interactive artworks and projects of a physical, performative, and digital nature from various disciplines. These artworks will remain installed throughout the entire duration of the exhibition and can be freely utilised by the public.
